Writing. Articles for SJEC (what women in scripture can teach us about parenting), the blog, and the novel. Which has me in its grip.
Savouring. The reconnection with a friend from another lifetime, Nawal Ghali. The circle is small if you just connect the dots.
Anticipating. The visit later this week with some of my favorite people in the whole world, especially Evelyn and Uncle Ronald. And, the following week, my daughters!!
Appreciating. The hot fried egg on buttered toast sandwiches Jack made us for brunch. Yum!
Noticing. The bottom of my Dutch Door has expanded, and the top is barely swung open.
Dreading. Having to drive in a lot of snow tomorrow, if there's ice underneath.
Deciding. Whether to let my hair grow long-er-ish. Or maybe I just don't want to stop long enough to have Amanda trim it. Which reminds me of something Tess used to say when we were really young: "When I get to Heaven, and God asks me what I did with my life, I'll say, 'Well, I let my hair grow out a few times.'" We know better.
Feeling. Particularly well, if not a little sleepy.
Planning. A short work week with a trip to Kansas at the end. Speaking in Illinois when I get back on Following the Map of Your Heart. That will be fun!
Wondering. At Grace of Spirit.
Believing. In the goodness and power and might and bounty and kindness of God.
Remembering. The fun I had yesterday at an Art and Spirituality workshop with Melanie Weidner, immersed in a kaleidoscope of people, art supplies and beauty. Melanie's website is right here: http://www.listenforjoy.com/
